I drew the applique and ironed it onto the fabric; not a huge achievement but an achievement none the less.

FNSI - an achievement
I joined Wendy and the gang on Friday for FNSI and I managed to achieve something (very pleased with myself). I'm making a wall hanging for a friend who's having a hard time at the moment and the saying on it is just perfect (plus she loves sunflowers) " Every flower that ever bloomed.... had to to through a whole lot of dirt to get there".
I drew the applique and ironed it onto the fabric; not a huge achievement but an achievement none the less.

You did about the same as me...but at least we joined in...lol. :)
Prep for applique takes more time than we think, so you did well. A great gift for your friend.
