Something different.....

I've been making bags lately. Can't say I've enjoyed making them as I found the vinyl a tad challenging (any tips greatly appreciated) ..... We were asked to make these for the Strathalbyn Community Craft Market - hoping they will sell after all my struggles...

So today I set out to make something completely different blackboard rolls but as I hadn't used this type of fabric before I was a bit nervous. I changed my mind and made a noughts and crosses board instead. I will definitely make more of these way easier than vinyl..... plus the fabric was free :)

I will tackle some blackboard rolls tomorrow or maybe some more microwave bowls as I enjoyed making those.

What is a blackboard roll for?
I saw on Sunrise this morning that 25,00 sets of mittens have been received for the koalas! amazing...

sorry to hear you struggled with the vinyl, the finished bags look brilliant! When working with vinyl I put my Teflon foot on my machine, it has a little roller in it so it rolls over the vinyl smoothly. I've heard other people suggest using a layer of tissue paper so it feeds through the machine nicely and can be ripped off afterwards
